Mauke is one of the three islands of Nga-Pu-Toru, with Atiu and Mitiaro. Fewer than 300 people live here and visitors are rare.

What it is like

Very quiet. The attraction is the caves, the church, the gardens and the people — not facilities. Two or three nights is plenty for most visitors, and worth it.
